CKSO Radio and Television was known as a top breeding ground for up and coming broadcast talent. Whether they got their start at CKSO or were just passing through, many went on to prestigious positions in the broadcast industry. Paul Ski was one of those individuals! Coming from CHLO in St. Thomas, he arrived in Sudbury in 1970 and would serve as Program Director for CKSO AM and FM Radio. He left in 1972 heading to an Ottawa CHUM station as Program Manager.
As a radio broadcast veteran with over 30 years in the business, Paul was honoured for his achievements on May 8, 2014 when he was inducted into the Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Hall of Fame. He was presented with the Allan Waters Broadcast Lifetime Achievement Award. Paul had made his way to Toronto working at CHUM and eventually becoming President of CHUM's radio division. Trusted with the responsibility of its 55 radio stations in Canada, Paul was selected as Chief Executive Officer of Rogers Media radio division in 2008.
